POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT

Land Use Official

 

Position:  The Land Use Official is a full-time position that encompasses the duties and job titles of Planner, Zoning Enforcement Officer, and Inland Wetlands & Watercourses Enforcement Officer. Provides general administration and enforcement on behalf of the First Selectman, Planning & Zoning Commission and Inland Wetlands & Watercourses Commission in accordance with CT State Statutes and Town policies and procedures

 

Qualifications:  Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in land use planning or closely related field, such as urban studies, environmental science, public administration, or geography or in lieu thereof.  Job experience can be substituted for degree where appropriate. Connecticut Association of Zoning Enforcement Officials (CAZEO) certification plus 2-3 years’ experience or equivalent.
