In honor of the legacy of Diana Donald, this scholarship-internship program offers the opportunity for organizations and agencies to hire an intern in a planning or planning-related field to work on an identifiable planning initiative within the organization. Grant funds, in the amount of $3,500, will be provided to one agency or organization on a competitive basis.

Diana Donald, who passed away in 1975, was a Connecticut‐based planner who was recognized nationally for her contributions to the profession. At the time of her passing at age 40, she was the First Vice President of the American Institute of Planners and was in line to become President. Her status in the association set a historical precedent for women in planning.
