The Town of Greenwich is seeking a qualified Zoning Inspector to enforce zoning regulations perform permit reviews, site inspections, and investigation of complaints. This role ensures compliance with site plans, zoning codes, and nuisance ordinances, and provides guidance to the public on zoning matters.

Key Duties:

• Review zoning permits and construction plans.

• Conduct field inspections and investigate code violations.

• Coordinate enforcement efforts with Town departments.

• Maintain detailed records and prepare court documentation when necessary.

• Assist the public with zoning questions in person, by phone, and by email.

Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree in a related field (e.g., architecture, construction, surveying) plus 4 years of relevant experience.

• Valid driver’s license.

• Must obtain CT Zoning Enforcement certification within 24 months.

• Strong knowledge of zoning, site planning, and building codes.

• Excellent communication and computer skills.
