CCAPA recently launched Start with Planning and associated research project focused on economic development, transportation, resiliency, housing and land use conservation.  This work forms the building blocks for good planning through technical assistance, public awareness and collaboration.  Since its formal release in 2018, CCAPA has introduced the Start with Planning approach to Governor Lamont, the new committee chairs for the Planning and Development Committee of the Connecticut General Assembly and the Connecticut Council of Governments.  In addition, many Start with Planning concepts were included in the Governor-elect’s Policy Committee final report thanks to member participation.  This work is best summarized in the Winter, 2018 special edition of Connecticut Planning as well as the following Policy Research Papers.
